Peach Street temporary overnight closure on Sunday 26 February

Wednesday 22nd February, 2017

From Monday (27 February) Peach Street, Wokingham will be reduced to one lane to allow for the safe demolition of the 1960s block as part of our Peach Place regeneration. The single lane closure will remain in place for 15 weeks until early June.

In order to put the safety barriers in place for the demolition works, Peach Street will be completely closed overnight, from the junction with Easthampstead Road to Market Place, from 10pm on Sunday 26 February until 6am on Monday 27 February.

Due to the SGN works taking place at the level crossing on Easthampstead Road the following westbound diversion route will be in place via Easthampstead Road, Waterloo Road, Old Wokingham Road, Easthampstead Road, Heathlands Road, Nine Mile Ride, Sandhurst Road, Finchampstead Road, Molly Millars Lane, Barkham Road, Station Approach, Reading Road and Shute End.

Eastbound routes are unaffected by this overnight closure.
